I was talking to a friend about how some nights we sleep terribly and other nights we sleep great. There can be many reasons behind ‘why’ we don’t sleep well: a late workout, a lot on our mind, uncomfortable, etc.
And it got me thinking about how on the nights I think I sleep terribly, I actually wake up with a lot of answers.
Dreams are answers to questions we haven’t yet figured out how to ask.
For instance, I woke up this morning feeling like I didn’t sleep at all, but really I slept 7hrs without waking up once. Not too shabby. But as I lay there in my bed, I started to remember an intense dream I had in the middle of the night.
I’ll spare you all the details about the dream, but what this particular dream made me realize was that something I had been so uncomfortable with and so unsure of how to handle, needed to be tackled today! This had nothing to do with a task at work or home, but everything to do with reaching out to someone who I haven’t spoken to in a very long time and who I knew needed some extra strength and support in their life.
As much as we fight it sometimes, we already know the answers we’re looking for. We just need to figure out how to ask the question.
So what the heck does my dream mean to you? It’s proof that each of us should follow our intuition. I knew weeks ago that I should reach out to this old friend of mine, but chose not to.
We already have all the answers we desire, we just need to open up our hearts and minds to it.
Allow your intuition to guide you through life; it is the only thing that is true to you.
